Are the pixel count (resolution) and pixel value information (bitrate) accurate and sufficient!
When it comes to upscaling, the most crucial factor isn't how much the final resolution has been increased, but whether the output's metadata truly matches the actual quality of the video.
In other words, what matters most is not the settings you choose in a traditional rendering tool, but whether the final video effectively has the correct pixel count (resolution) and sufficient pixel value information (bitrate).
Most commercial software uses methods like Bicubic (2x2) to enlarge the original pixels at the same ratio. While this makes the process fast, it's difficult to achieve exceptional results.
Vimagine uses its proprietary SPP (Split Pixel Process) to subdivide pixels and assign them with the information needed to perfectly match the final resolution.
Based on a 4K EXR, we can subdivide each original pixel up to a 1/16th while preserving its floating-point properties. A key advantage of our optimized hardware is the resulting fast turnaround time.

This is the technology for removing fields, all noise, and artifacts from the source footage. The proficiency of this technique is so critical that it directly determines the quality of the final output.
De-Interace
De-interlacing is the technology used to remove field information from NTSC-based content (e.g., 29.97i, 59.94i) and convert it to a progressive format.
Vimagine's proprietary algorithm is also exceptional at minimizing B-frame blurring, half-fields, and residual noise.

Our technology removes physical and electrical noise, such as film grain and interlace artifacts.
A key advantage is our ability to simultaneously apply a wide variety of DE- and ADD- filters.
By exceeding the conventional limits of basic filter settings, we can maximize the true sense of resolution in the original footage.

Pixel Interpolation
Pixel Interpolation enhances video detail by subdividing existing pixels.
This is achieved through oversampling, which is powered by our deep-learning model, Neural Designer-WSCNN.
Frame Interpolation
Converts various frame rates, such as 23.98p, 29.97p, and 59.94p, both automatically and manually.
Creates smooth video for effects like virtual shooting and slow-motion correction.

2. EXR(Floating) Conversion
EXR Format Properties
An open-source format that stores 16/32-bit floating-point data.
Offers greater latitude than film (over 30 stops) and can express an almost infinite color gamut.
Designated as the archiving standard for original content on global OTT platforms like Netflix and Disney+.
It is not possible to increase pixel count or upscale the floating-point data within an EXR file using common commercial software like Topaz.
